Joyful Woman Outdoors

Carehack was born out of a simple but powerful observation: families raising children with disabilities have no shortage of resources — but no one to help them navigate it all.

Our founder, Caroline, didn't take a traditional path into the disability world. After graduate school, nonprofit work, and an unexpected pivot into teaching through Teach For America, she spent eight years as a special education teacher falling in love with not just her students, but their entire families.

She watched parents show up overwhelmed, isolated, and desperate for a consistent person in their corner — someone who could answer the hard questions, cut through the confusion, and actually stay. As a teacher, she tried to be that person as much as she could. Eventually, she realized the need was too great to ignore and too important to leave to chance.

In June 2022, Carehack was born.

Today, Carehack serves families of individuals with disabilities from birth through adulthood — offering expert consultation, collaborative advocacy, and in-home respite matching through Carehack Cares. Our team is made up entirely of former special education teachers with real classroom experience, which means we understand both sides of the table. We know the systems, we know the meetings, and most importantly, we know what families are up against. Because at Carehack, we don't just point you toward the path — we walk it with you.

Carehack was instrumental in advocating for our son and helped our family more than I can even express throughout our autism journey. Their ability to connect with our son, communicate behavioral strategies, and customize his ever developing IEP was an absolute blessing. Highly recommend putting your trust in their services!

Jill & Matt

Carehack's familiarity with the school system and availability of resources was invaluable to our daughters success. Carehack helped us navigate each step in order to make sure our daughter was successful in the classroom. We were fully prepared for meetings at school because of their guidance and wisdom, which ultimately benefited our daughter. We are so thankful for them!

Carehack was a tremendous help to us as we navigated our child's journey through potential diagnosis and the IEP process.  They made sure we had the support to facilitate productive and effective discussions to make sure everyone was on the same page and our child was on the correct path. They made sure our voices were heard.
